Although the Danish Warmblood streaming auction due to the current assembly ban had to be conducted with a limited number of audiences, auctioneer Casper Cassøe managed to create a really good atmosphere in the show arena at Blue Hors, where 22 foals came under the hammer for the first auction ever held at Blue Hors.
During three days prior to the physical auction, interested parties have been able to place their bids on the foals online. At Blue Hors each foal entered the arena with a starting amount equalling what had already been bid online for the foal and with the auctioneer's mentioning of the countries that had placed the highest bids for the foal.
Hereafter, the auction proceeded as usually with bidders on the phone as well as in the arena and simultaneously online bidders which worked very well. Foals were sold to buyers from Switzerland, Austria, Great Britain and Germany, just as well as bids were received from France, Spain, the Netherlands, USA and Dubai.

Chairman of the Danish Warmblood Auction Committee, Ulrik Kristensen, is extremely pleased that 18 foals were sold for an average price of just under EUR 12,000, and he also expresses his satisfaction with Blue Hors' commitment and set-up for the auction.
– We have had a considerable number of online bids, including bids from many new bidders from many different countries. It has proven that with this concept we reach more people as the online platform provides access to a wider network of buyers. Therefore, it is not unlikely that a similar concept will be integrated into future auctions. At least we can conclude that this test run was a success, says Ulrik Kristensen.
The auction committee is very pleased with the auction, where internet bidders were fast at bidding and could easily keep up with the other bidders. Ulrik Kristensen is convinced that the Danish Warmblood's collaboration with ClipMyHorse has been a really good investment for the breeders, because a streaming auction reaches far in the equestrian world.
– Now we look forward to the Danish Warmblood foal shows, where we inspect foals for our next auctions, Ulrik Kristensen says.

Most expensive foal sold at 37,000
Among the buyers at the auction were also several recurring customers such as Frandsbjerg Horses, who acquired two lovely show jumping foals. In a duel against an internet bidder, dressage rider at Blue Hors, Nanna Merrald acquired the lovely filly foal Sevilla Pilekær by Vitalis/Apache, while her employer managed to purchase five foals; including the reserve champion and the champion colt from the Blue Hors foal championship, Harrysmindes Kastello by Blue Hors Kingston/Dancier and Jestis La Liga by Blue Hors Livius/Aljano. Jestis La Liga is a colt foal in a league of his own and a foal that many people dreamed of acquiring. There were online bids from the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain as well as from bidders in the arena. Breeding manager from Blue Hors, Martin Klavsen, succeeded in purchasing this special colt placing a final bid of EUR 37,000.
– It is an exceptional colt that we were determined to ensure at Blue Hors, so we are thrilled that we succeeded, says Martin Klavsen.
