Charlotte was impressed with Herning

The 36th Danish Warmblood stallion licensing in Herning has been a massive success with more than 51,000 visitors at the MCH Messecenter Herning. One of the special guests this year was British Charlotte Dujardin who test rode 32 young dressage horses. She found a handful of promising youngsters she would have liked to take home

The reigning World Cup Champion, European Champion, Olympic Champion and World Champion Charlotte Dujardin arrived at the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing in Herning Friday and had time to settle in before conducting her task as a test rider of 32 young dressage horses during the course of the weekend. In an interview with the German equestrian broadcast channel Clipmyhorse Charlotte praised the event in Herning.
– It's obviously a massive place. I've never been to anywhere that has so many shops, it's like a maze here. You get lost because it's so big, but it's a fantastic show. You've got lots of different varietes; you've got an auction, you've got stallions, you've got ridden horses, you've got Grand Prix horses. There is so much to see coming here to this show, and everybody here is so friendly. I think it's a really really good set-up, Charlotte Dujardin concluded.

Very special to be back in Herning
She said she had an amazing few days in Herning amongst beautiful horses and the most welcoming and friendly people, not to mention the extra treat of seeing Katy Perry in concert. It was Charlotte’s first time at the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing but not her first time in Herning.
– Its my second time in Herning because obviously I came here in 2013 where I was double gold at the Europeans, so for me to come back here was great memories. To go near the stadium that I competed in and just be here, even staying in the same hotel. It was a little bit surreal all doing it again, but great to be back here.

If I could give 11 I would!
It was Charlotte Dujardin’s first time as a test rider and she was very impressed with the high quality of the Danish Warmblood horses. She gave a straight 10 for capacity to noneless than four of the horses. As a matter of fact Charlotte commented on about a handful of the horses that she would like to keep them for herself to ride.
She said about the last horse she rode, the winning mare Fiontini, that it was an absolute dream to ride and described the mare as faultless.
– There wasn’t anything about her that I would have changed. I could definitely have taken her home, Charlotte said after her ride. Whilst still in the saddle she exclaimed:
– What a fantastic feeling. Amazing! I’m so excited. It’s a really nice feeling. I’m going to definitely take this one home. If I could give her 11, I would give 11!
