Peterhof Dressage Gala made its way within a short period of time to one of the top-class dressage events in Europe. The excellent arrangement with attention to details, the warm hospitality and the ambience of probably one of the most beautiful equestrian centre ensure the special Peterhof-flair. This attracts magically, not only the best dressage riders in the world to the small Mosel city Perl-Borg but also our great audience.

„We are proud of our achievements and we gladly think back to the year 2014, when we were the pre selection event and later the training camp for the German WC-team. Last year in 2015 we were the obligatory showas FEI Olympic Games qualification,“ Arlette Jasper-Kohl and Professor Edwin Kohl summarize. “However this year we reached the limits of our capacities running a five day show with 170 horses and 21 competitions.” The organisation absorbed almost a full year of preparation. Anyway it was still manageable additional to the usual business. As there are the daily riding activities, the processes in the insemination station and further events like the Charity-Action “Day of the true Heroes” and the clinic “The old Masters”. “All together it was a real feat we have to pay a little tribute for, even if our team and our show-management EN GARDE did a fantastic job!”

Due to the Olympic Games in Rio/BRA in 2016, it was hardly possible to find a suitable date for the Peterhof Dressage Gala. “So after long discussions we decided to grant ourselves a break from the show business,” Arlette Jasper Kohl and Professor Erwin Kohl ask for understanding. However there is no need to worry about a farewell forever.“We gained somany wonderful memories from the Peterhof Dressage Gala and have been overwhelmed so many times, especially by the acceptance of the audience and the active participants. No question – Peterhof Dressage Gala will proceed.” Nevertheless Arlette Jasper-Kohl desires more support by the sponsors: “Up to now my husband’s company, the kohlpharma GmbH in Merzig, assumes a major part of the Peterhof Dressage Gala’s financing.” For the future asensitization will benecessary: “It is not enough to own such excellent horses, you have to be able to present them at professional shows.” She hopes that everyone will actively work on that fact, to keep top shows as the Peterhof Dressage Gala realizable.
