The stallion station Ludwig Kathmann is the German distributor of semen from stallions from Blue Hors, Stutteri Ask and Van Olst Stables, and therefore several Danish riders were in the limelight Friday night at the stallion show in Vechta. One of the highlights of the evening was Danish Anne van Olst and her powerful stallion Netto by Negro / Purioso which proved to be a complte piaffe/passage machine! Another powerful dressage prospect is the 5-year-old Blue Hors Don Olymbrio, which was shown by Maria A. Andersen who had her hands full, as this charming chestnut was in a very good mood Friday night. First rider at Stutteri Ask, Søren Møller Nielsen presented two very promising jumpers, 6-year-old Cavall Ask by Calido / C-Indoctro and 7-year-old Holsteiner Ci Ci Senjor Ask by Cassini I / Contender, which both did a convincing job over the fences. The Swedish bred 4-year-old Tomahawk by Tailormade Temptation / Sandro Hit (bred by Lena Nyström) was the Oldenburg auction highlight in 2011 and was popular with the German breeders last year. In Vechta he was superbly presented by former auction rider Kyra Wulferding and demonstrating three very big gaits. Two very young representatives of his first crop of foals were also presented in the arena and made a very good first impression. Continueing the string of Scandinavien riders were Norwegian Isabel Bache, who trains with Holga Finken, presenting the three-year-old very promising stallion Grey Flanell by Gribaldi / Clavecimbel, which already at the Oldenburg stallion licensing in 2012 showed himself as a powerful mover. Swedish rider Carl Hedin has formerly worked and trained at Hasse Hoffmann's in Denmark and is now holding a position as dressage rider at the German stallion station Bon Homme. He did a great job in showing the young Feu d'Or by Fackeltanz / Rohdiamant.
